[Pre-release: a no-couple novel from the male protagonist's perspective, "Proving the Dao Through Technology." The blurb is at the end. Please add it to your collection. I bow in thanks!]
Within Zhongzhou, there are seven sects, known as the Sects of Letters, Martial Arts, Music, Crafts, Agriculture, Commerce, and Shamanism.
In this cruel world, people practice magic in illusions and advance through competitions. Lose, and you might have your body destroyed and turned into a puppet. Poor and without connections, he has no choice but to cling to powerful people wherever he goes. He hides behind a smooth, worldly, cowardly facade, living by the principle of using words rather than fists whenever possible.
Everyone thinks he has the same innate ability as practitioners of the Way of Letters, called "Wordshape," which lets him imbue poems with spiritual power and make them manifest as weapons to help him train and advance.
But they don't know that behind his talent for Wordshape lies spiritual power that allows him to command written words themselves.
One word can move Zhongzhou, shaping everything in the world.
One thought can decide the rise and fall of all, as he writes the fate of every living being.
I am Cheng Mu, King of Flattery Across the Seven Ways, Master of Reading the Room, Sacred Venerable of Zhongzhou, and Lord of Words.
Reader's Guide:
1. This is only my second web novel. Feel free to give it a try. The whole story is complete, with five chapters updating daily at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. I'll add extra chapters if readers in the comments strongly request them.
2. If you notice anything unreasonable about the plot or characterization, feel free to say so in the comments. I don't have time to revise this one, but I'll be sure to keep it in mind when writing in the future.
3. The story includes a lot of poetry and prose, but this is not a plagiarism-focused story! They're just used to cast spells. Whenever the male lead needs to write poetry or prose, it's all my own work, so please forgive me if it's not very good. The spell poems used by some of the big shots later on are also written by me.
4. The style is silly and funny, but not brainless. If you want a serious, thoughtful story, please check out my sci-fi series next door. If you'd like to read about the similarities between the late-Ming novel and publishing markets and today's web-novel market, please check out "Late Ming Novelist" next door.
Thanks for reading.
[Pre-release: "Proving the Dao Through Technology," no couples, primordial cyberpunk, fantasy + sci-fi]
At the dawn of the primordial world, the Yuanmu Dynasty arose.
The Yuanmu Dynasty rules over the great clans, the four cultivation sects devoted to practicing magic in pursuit of immortality, and the Craftsmen's Sect, which is wholly focused on developing technology.
Shi Yu is transmigrated as the last member of the Gonggong clan. He holds the reins of the Geomagnetic Clearing Bank, which controls the entire planet's economy and energy supply, making him undeniably the richest man alive.
But when he wakes up, he discovers that this richest man is already dead and buried underground, and that his coffin has been sealed shut.
Fortunately, he has a copy of the "Manual of Cultivation Spells" buried with him, which can help him split open the coffin and come back to life.
He discovers that his golden finger is very practical indeed.
When the government calls on the public to mine energy on Jupiter, he waves his hand and has people assemble a top-of-the-line spaceship. On the return trip, he even abducts three exceptionally capable robots serving in space.
However, everyone on Yuanxing merely misunderstands him as super-rich. After all, he invests and develops technology at any cost only because he wants to travel back to his own world.
But before he can fulfill his wish, he comprehends the ultimate truth on Yuanxing, achieves godhood through the righteous path, and helps humanity, now on the brink of the apocalypse, enter the cycle of eternal life and rebuild civilization.
Reader's Guide:
1. Primordial cyberpunk + post-apocalyptic punk: advanced technology and poor living conditions in a primordial setting, with an element of resistance. It's a coined term, so just get the idea. The beginning of human civilization may once have been the end of another civilization.
2. The story covers some sci-fi ideas, including but not limited to quantum technology, nanotechnology, strong artificial intelligence, digitized consciousness, geomagnetic manipulation, and time folding. Each will be explained in plain language, along with its common ground with the magic of cultivation. Fantasy and sci-fi share many elements in essence, even if they express them differently.
Theme: Even when you are ostracized and suffer serious physical and emotional harm, keep living positively, strive to improve, and work toward a happy and fulfilling life.
The Seven Saints deprived him of his five senses, but he wanted to thank him instead. It was too aggrieved. Will he come back with revenge later?
Are all members except the male protagonist zz? Are there not many people with normal IQ and EQ?
First of all, it is really well written, with a novel world view, interesting themes, touching characters, and good writing style. Secondly, this is also the aftereffect every time I finish reading a completed novel. I hope it can be longer and continue to experience some interesting journeys with the protagonist. Finally, congratulations on the completion!
I read the copywriting, and the literary talent is great. Wow, oh, oh, I can't write a poem.
There is no need to update so much. Just update one chapter every day. You can also apply for a few more lists.
I set the publishing time wrong again and published Chapter 70 ahead of schedule. I can only blame myself for being too clumsy to play the maze in A Jin's author's backstage... This time I just forgot about it and didn't lock it. I'm tired.
I collected it last month. I originally wanted to fatten it up, but I didn't expect it to be finished so quickly. It turns out that there are 5 chapters updated every day! It's so cool to watch! The ending was something I didn't expect, and the mentor-disciple relationship was very heartwarming. It just felt a little short, as if it ended in a hurry, and I didn't get enough of it. Looking forward to the next one!
The literary saint is not a time traveler but just stole the protagonist's memory. I don't know if that's right.
These words are quite useful to people in that world.
