Kono Hayatsue is a rookie photographer assigned by the Main World. His eyes are his camera, and his job is to photograph the protagonists and important supporting characters of various worlds.
As a new hire, he's convinced that he has the most professional work ethic. No matter how difficult the assignment, he'll never give up halfway or complain.
That is, as long as this 996 System gives him a normal assignment!!!
Faced with hundreds of jobs waiting in his task list, Hayatsue reads through one increasingly ridiculous assignment after another and falls into deep thought.

Listening to Hayatsue's wails, the 996 System remains unmoved and even rubs salt in the wound.
"Dear, we're not responsible if you die during filming."
And so, Assassination Classroom gains a student almost as fast as Koro-sensei; the Hidden Leaf Village gains a wandering ninja whose strength rivals a Kage; the world of jujutsu gets a prodigy with a technique the likes of which appear only once in a thousand years; and a mafia boss takes in a young executive who spends all day pestering the trio around Dazai...
Thinking that getting stronger would make things better, Hayatsue watches another fist swing toward his face.
"Didn't we agree that you don't hit the photographer?!"
The 996 System lights a cigarette, strategically.
"No, that's only because the photographer is strong enough to take it. Dear, looks like you still need more training!"
At last, with the 996 System's wholehearted assistance (that is, hellish training), Hayatsue has mastered his skills and returned to the scene. He tramples Yokohama's bandage-wrapped black mud, holds the world's strongest white-haired man in one hand, kicks Naruto to the left and the Pirate King to the right...

Whenever the now-famous Kono is interviewed in the various worlds, he repeats the same line:
"I'm just a dedicated photographer."
Before long, the photography profession is added to the watch lists of all kinds of people.
