Lin Yanyue's greatest wish was to embroider and chase butterflies like other young ladies. But her father was the head of the greatest sect in the martial world, and she was his only daughter. He insisted that she take over the sect.
When she refused, he tried every form of emotional blackmail. To help her win the sect elders' approval, her father even gave her a mission: infiltrate the Demon Cult and assassinate its leader.
Forced to leave home, Lin Yanyue dawdled along the way. By a twist of fate, she picked up a handsome young man who had been persecuted by a demon and wanted revenge, and he became her companion.

At a teahouse, people at another table were talking about the dreaded demon: "The demon is sinister and ruthless. With a transverse flute and a single melody, he can kill without leaving a trace."
Lin Yanyue glanced at the young man beside her, who was wiping down the jade flute he carried. The young man raised his harmless-looking face and smiled at her.
Lin Yanyue, relieved it was a false alarm: Lots of people can play the flute, and he's not sinister or ruthless at all. Just a coincidence, a coincidence.
She took the young man's hand. "We'll infiltrate the Demon Cult first, then catch him off guard and kill him."
The young man curved his charming, beautiful peach-blossom eyes. "All right."

At last, Lin Yanyue successfully infiltrated the Demon Cult. She tried countless plans, but forget killing the demon, she could barely even get a glimpse of him.
Lin Yanyue: "What other plans do you have?"
The young man looked at her thoughtfully. "Why not try the beauty trap?"
