Working in the Stars to Find Spiritual Energy

I love this premise, but the writing wasn't good, so I'm rewriting it and giving it one last try.

Here's the blurb:

Bai Mo has always remembered that extraordinary day.

A talking chicken fell from the sky with a long knife, and he watched as the blade transformed into a man so handsome he could knock the heavens themselves off their feet.

From that moment on, the wheels of fate began to turn.

Bai Mo considers himself better than average. He dares to flatter his boss, which makes him a pillar of society.

Such a talented man ends up caught in an organ transplant case because of a chicken's mistake, and is forced to leave his home behind.

But why is the outside world so different?

It turns out that Blue Star fell under the rule of the Mechanical Kingdom more than a thousand years ago.

The Mechanical Kingdom ranks the people of Blue Star according to the quality of their genes. Second-class citizens live in splendor in the royal capital. Beyond its walls, children struggle to survive and the elderly struggle to live long. The only way to break through genetic limits and defy fate is to pass the trials.

Bai Mo joins the trials without hesitation, only to discover during the preliminary test that his constitution is Grade F, while his talent field is marked with three question marks. Many are certain he won't survive the first round, but Bai Mo deftly makes his way through the competition and claims first place in the New Star Tournament. Afterward, he becomes a highly sought-after sparring partner.

Everything is heading toward a bright future, except Bai Mo has realized he may no longer qualify as human.

"Zhan Ye!" Bai Mo grabs the tall, cold man in front of him. Could this impossibly cool and handsome body really be his? If so, maybe not being human isn't so bad after all...

Zhan Ye takes Bai Mo's hand and shakes his head in confusion. "You know I lost my memory."
