Faking a Marriage on a Dating Reality Show Made Me Famous

Xin Ran had no connections and entered the entertainment industry just to make money, but before he could become famous, a scandal nearly ruined his future.

To earn money and escape the fallout from the scandal, Xin Ran began meeting the matches assigned to him by the pheromone compatibility center.

Three alphas had pheromone compatibility ratings of over ninety percent with Xin Ran. The center recommended that he meet all three and choose the most suitable one to marry.

Xin Ran's ideal spouse would preferably have some money, but not be rich; want to get married, but not be in too much of a hurry; and not be too clingy or difficult. That way, once he had dealt with his problems, they could divorce.

After meeting all three alphas, Xin Ran found that none of them seemed suitable. Just as he was feeling disappointed, the compatibility center called again to say that a Mr. Duan had a staggering 99.99 percent compatibility rating with him, and suggested they meet.

After meeting him, Xin Ran found that the man didn't have much money, but was indifferent by nature, even a little cold. He didn't even like omegas. He was an A-sexual.

As for why he'd signed up for a match, it was only because his family was pressuring him. He didn't care about marriage himself.

Xin Ran was reassured and took out a marriage agreement. "We're both doing this out of necessity, so we'll act as cover for each other and owe each other nothing. I don't mind if you date other alphas, as long as it doesn't end up in the media. Cooperate with me on a dating reality show to clear up the negative impact of the scandal, and I'll even give you three million. We'll divorce after a year."

The other man took the agreement, glanced at it impassively, and signed with a flourish. "Fine."

The day after their sham wedding, Xin Ran followed him home.

Standing in front of an estate spanning over a thousand mu, Xin Ran: "..."

On the third day, Xin Ran heard someone arguing.

"You idiot! Did you think you could bring him down by spreading rumors that he's A-sexual?"

"..."

In the second month, Xin Ran said, "Duan Chengyi, the dating show has finished filming."

Duan Chengyi clung to him like an octopus, nuzzling his neck and inhaling deeply against his hair. "I know, but I'm in rut. I can't be without you, baby."

This blurb is tentative. I've withdrawn the previous version, but the core premise is about the same: a mutually doting couple. If that's not for you, please don't read.

Theme: Don't dwell on the past. Move forward bravely.
