An Eternal, Blazing Summer [Xun Guo Fanfic]

“When I give one hundred percent of my love voice, I can only reveal ten percent of it. Yet I still foolishly hope that you can glimpse my one-hundred-percent sincerity through that ten percent.”

Three years is neither a long time nor a short one.

For some people, three years is enough to go through a dozen girlfriends, each one different from the last.

For others, three years is just enough time to tuck someone away in the depths of their memory.

Unfortunately, Jiang Xiaoguo was one of the latter.

For three years, Jiang Xiaoguo worked diligently and tirelessly, devoting all her time to her job. And, as was only fair, she got something in return. At twenty-five, she became a senior investment manager at Lanhe, acting as investment director.

See? That's what's good about work. It never lets your effort go unrewarded, unlike men, who give you only ten percent love in return for your wholehearted devotion.

When Jiang Xiaoguo shared this theory with Liang Shuang, Liang scoffed and mocked her: “Only people who can't forget someone keep dwelling on it. People who've moved on don't remember a word of their ex-boyfriends' nonsense.”

Jiang Xiaoguo fell silent, unable to argue.

She secretly vowed that if she just had enough time, she would forget him completely! So completely that she couldn't even remember his name.

Until she saw Zhou Xun again at a cocktail party.

Then she realized that someone you try to forget with time can still make you forget nothing the moment you see them again.

When Zhou Xun finally said, “Jiang Xiaoguo, could you give me one more chance? Let’s start over.”

Only then did she finally dare to face what was in her heart: Zhou Xun wasn’t the only person she had never been able to forget.

1. Happy ending!!!

2. I was so mad that my ship got broken up, so I’m giving them a happy ending myself!

Theme: Some regrets can be made up for, if you want to.
