After breaking up with her girlfriend of eight years, Lin Jia pulled herself together, cut off everything connecting her to her ex, and headed to another city to start a new life. She never expected to end up rooming with You Li, her former high school beauty and her ex-girlfriend's childhood friend.

Although You Li was her ex's childhood friend, she spent much of the year touring, so the two hadn't crossed paths very often.
