Changing Partners: A Custom Substitute

[New love interest, mutual healing, scum top faces a long road to redemption]

[An android bottom, naive at first but awakening later x a gentle, scheming, reborn beauty top]

As an android designed to resemble his owner's white moonlight, 107 spent a year by his owner's side, doing his utmost to play the role of the beloved.

All he got in return was, “A fake is still a fake.”

His owner also treated him like a broken toy, using him over and over.

It was only when the dead white moonlight appeared that 107 realized how powerful his hold over people was.

Compared to his owner's cold indifference, 107 was more willing to submit to the white moonlight's gentleness.

So when the white moonlight first tempted him to leave his owner, 107 hesitated.

He had been programmed to “love his owner forever,” so he couldn't leave.

Even so, whenever he faced his owner, 107 found himself drifting away more and more, his desire to leave growing stronger by the day.

His owner, however, began to act completely out of character, showing him care and affection.

As if he had really fallen in love with him.

But how could a shattered heart ever be put back together?

--

On a stormy night, 107 broke through his programming and kissed the white moonlight in the rain.

“107, will you always love me?”

“We understand each other better than anyone else in this world.”

“We were made for each other.”

His owner stood at a distance, holding an umbrella. He looked up and froze at the intensely striking sight before him.

He wanted to have everything, but in the end, he got nothing.

What he thought he had won back was only part of their carefully planned revenge.

[The relationship with the scum top is angsty, but the relationship with the real top is sweet. Is it bitter first, then sweet?]

P.S.

1. Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting. There are lots of original worldbuilding details.

2. The real top is reborn in another person's body, at a point in time after his death. The bottom was designed to look like the real top did before he was reborn.

3. The bottom is not a virgin, and will sleep with the scum top early in the story. The real top is a virgin.

4. The scum top and the real top never actually had a relationship. The scum top will face a long road to redemption. The bottom only starts a relationship with the real top after completely breaking things off with the scum top.

5. I have few triggers and enjoy a variety of genres. I'll add any triggers I forgot when I think of them.

6. We read novels to enjoy ourselves. If this one makes you uncomfortable, please leave.
