After Breaking Up with My Mad Stepsister

Wen Lan had been timid, insecure, and indecisive since childhood.

She followed her mother, who was about to marry into a wealthy family, to the Fu household. Leaving behind the dark, damp slums, she moved into a spacious villa with bright, spotless windows.

Fu Xue was the pampered heiress of the Fu family, spoiled, domineering, and capricious.

Her mother told her to win over Fu Xue, the Fu family's daughter, so Wen Lan did everything she could.

No matter what Fu Xue asked of her, she agreed.

Then, one winter night, Fu Xue pulled her into bed, and Wen Lan finally realized something was wrong.

But Fu Xue held her tightly and told her she loved her.

It was the first time anyone had ever said those words to her.

Her biological father, who had abandoned her and her mother, never said them. Neither had her mother, who devoted herself to climbing into high society. Only Fu Xue held her on that cold winter night and said she loved her.

Wen Lan fell helplessly in love. She knew her mother would go mad over it, but she still crossed the line with Fu Xue.

Until one day, she prepared a birthday surprise for Fu Xue and overheard her laughing with a friend.

"Why are you so nice to your stepsister?"

Fu Xue idly toyed with the silver ring Wen Lan had given her, then tossed it aside. Her tone was cruel and playful. "Of course it's to get back at that scheming woman! I want her to watch as I ruin her daughter, step by step!"

Wen Lan pushed open the door, her expression colder than it had ever been. "Fu Xue, you win."

Wen Lan and her mother disappeared together.

Fu Xue had gotten what she wanted, yet she searched frantically for Wen Lan.

But she found nothing.

Then, six years later, after her father passed away, Wen Lan appeared at his funeral.

"Sister, this time, I won't let you get away again."

P.S. They were never on the same household register.
