[Cool, sensitive weather scientist × aloof, passionate racing driver / school and city life]
Nanbin Middle School.
This was Lu Li’s fifth time transferring schools.
The teachers liked to arrange seats according to grades. Lu Li wasn’t fond of that, but since she had come to Nanbin Middle School, she had no choice but to accept it.
Her fifth transfer probably wouldn’t be any different from the first four. Once her father finished his project in Nanbin, she would go to school in another city.
Things started to go off track when students were allowed to choose their deskmates after the monthly exams.
Chen Huaiyue, the school’s most talked-about student, had left his exam paper blank the last time. Now he had suddenly come first in the entire second-year class.
As the homeroom teacher arranged the seating chart at the front of the classroom, he pushed up his glasses and asked Chen Huaiyue, who sat in the back row, “Chen Huaiyue, who do you want as your deskmate?”
Everyone thought Chen Huaiyue would do as he had before and move a desk to the very back so he could sit alone.
Instead, Chen Huaiyue called out lazily, “Lu Li.”
The tip of Lu Li’s pen slipped as she wrote out English vocabulary. At the same time, hushed whispers spread through the classroom.
“Why did you choose Lu Li as your deskmate?” the homeroom teacher asked with a frown.
Chen Huaiyue’s tone was casual, but his gaze fell on the girl in the front row.
He gave the most respectable-sounding excuse. “I didn’t do well in Chinese or biology, so I need to learn from her.”
Since it was about studying, the homeroom teacher naturally agreed.
Lu Li didn’t want to sit with Chen Huaiyue.
After school, they were the only two left in the classroom for cleaning duty. Chen Huaiyue smiled roguishly, his long, deep-set eyes fixed on Lu Li.
“Lu Li, I stayed up all night for a month just so I could sit next to you. Do you have no conscience at all?”
Lu Li stared at Chen Huaiyue in astonishment, her eyes wide.
Had he come first just for her?
A month earlier, the school had lost power during evening study hall.
The students in Class 2 wrote anonymous notes sharing their true feelings in the dark.
A note signed “Alice”: You play the piano beautifully.
A note signed “Kafka”: I won’t betray you.
Later, the boy she thought would become a pianist became a racing driver.
The girl he thought would become a writer became a meteorologist.
But they met again.
Chen Huaiyue had just won a crucial stage of a race, and Lu Li had come to watch with her friends. He took off his helmet and gloves and tossed them to a crew member standing nearby. With a bewitching smile on his striking face, he came straight toward her, step by step, and spoke in an intimate tone:
“If you disappear without telling me again, I’ll chase you in my race car.”
Not every reunion after a long separation is thanks to fate. In their case, Chen Huaiyue had traveled a thousand miles just for her.
[Hello, Lu Li, my girl. I fell in love with you at first sight. I can’t help falling for you., From Chen Huaiyue’s diary]
-The female lead is lonely inside and level-headed, having seen through human nature from a young age. The male lead is wild, especially in the way he talks, and very direct. Whenever she gives him the cold shoulder, he angrily tells himself, “I’m done chasing her!” Then the next day he comes right back to her, tail wagging. The male lead heals the female lead.
The Formula One World Championship (F1), along with the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup, is one of the “three major sporting events in the world.”
A slow-burn story.
The male lead is an F1 racing driver, with no real-life inspiration.
Reunion after a long separation, starting in school and moving to city life.
A high school ensemble cast.

Blurb for my next novel, Thinking of You in the Endless Sea of People:
Later, when Qu Shiyu and Xing Ran got married, Ruan Hua returned to Nanxi a day early to serve as a bridesmaid. Her friend told her that a few days before, Xing Ran and his good friend Chi Yue had been chatting on the phone. Chi Yue had said that he’d had a crush on her back when they were in their second year of high school.
For a moment, Ruan Hua thought she must have misheard.
-
Books love to write about those secret crushes too deep to put into words: a boy’s white shirt, his black hair tousled by the evening breeze, and the dream every girl has as a teenager of riding on the back of his bicycle.
Years later, Chi Yue returned in glory. He was only staying briefly and was about to leave. Before he went, he told the girl he could grant her one wish, any wish at all.
He thought Ruan Hua would ask him to stay, but instead he heard her say that she wanted to ride on the back of his bicycle once.
After that, Chi Yue couldn’t leave.
Theme: Love and dreams both give people courage.
Next book "Sea of Glass" "Missing You in the Continuous Sea of People" Please collect it! "Missing You in the Endless Sea of People": secret love/reunion after a long separation, a short story of more than 100,000 words, serialization period is endless "Sea of Glass": Pretending to be a good girl × aloof asshole, fake brother and sister/crazy literature
The sun will set, but the passionate love of young people will not. I really like Lulu and Mr. Chen. Mr. Chen's perspective is really heartwarming. They are indispensable to each other.
Chen Huaiyue is one of my favorite male protagonists, and I also like this kind of secret love story. The male protagonist moves towards the female protagonist unswervingly. I hope to see more side stories. Let LULU continue to live happily in the parallel world.
Ahhhhh it's the finale, please give me more extras.
From Hidden in Your Heart to Hot Wind Passing Through, I really like Shu Yu's writing style and every character in it. I hope there will be more extra chapters!
Chen Huaiyue and Lu Li are happy for you and will always be happy! (Btw, I think I am free, at least when it comes to loving you, I have made up my mind, so wait for me, we will meet at the top one day.)
Just looking at the surface meaning, I can only see that even if the paths are different, the two people will eventually get back on the same boat. The boat keeps moving forward, full of hope and happiness (if so). Looking at the name, I think something in the paragraph represents a certain character. For example, Huai, which is related to water, has a similar shape to Li and Millet (haha, but I can only think of these)
I like it, more, more, more
I like "Alice to Kafka" very much, you are great! We all need to keep working hard o??
