Love after divorce.
1. Your side of the story:
Here's what happened: my fake-gentle, truly cold and humble ex-husband, who was forced to marry me, actually wanted to die with me.
He suddenly stopped being cold and gentle toward me. He tied me to the bed and said, with chilling intensity, that he loved me deeply. He'd loved me since the first moment he saw me and said there wasn't a moment when he hadn't wanted to take me apart and devour me whole.
I suspected he'd lost his mind, because all he did was talk. He never actually did anything. He didn't even touch me with a finger, let alone take me apart and devour me.
If the bomb strapped to him hadn't been set to explode with me, he probably wouldn't even have hugged me.
Then I was reborn. Looking at the potentially crazy man, whose gentleness was flawless, I said generously, "I know you're sick. I don't mind remarrying you."
I wanted this potentially crazy man to realize that he didn't love me, so he would let go of his delusion that he loved me and wanted to die with me.
Ex-husband: ?
2. My side of the story:
Here's what happened: my arrogant, spoiled ex-wife actually wanted to remarry me.
She said she knew I loved her, that ever since we first met I'd wanted to make her mine, and that in the end I wanted to die with her because I couldn't have her love.
Not to mention that she was only ten when we first met. How could I possibly have wanted to die with her in my arms? Though I was her ex-husband, I'd always thought of myself as her older brother.
I wouldn't remarry her, much less die with her, and there was absolutely no way I could love her.
In this life, I could only ever be her older brother!
But when she stopped asking me to remarry her and said she was going to marry another man, I really did tie her to the bed and try to die with her.
I thought I was getting revenge for the way she'd humiliated me. But the moment I held her, I realized she was right: I really was sick.
So sick that even admitting my feelings for her could drive me into a frenzy.
Arrogant, spoiled heiress x fake-gentle, truly sinister ex-husband
Little scene:
One morning, Ying Chenfeng gently put his arms around Chu Mo. "Darling, shouldn't we get remarried?"
Chu Mo sleepily nuzzled against him. "Mmm... maybe later. Let me sleep a little more..."
Ying Chenfeng got out of bed in a sulk, but still spoke gently. "Then go back to sleep. I'll make you a bomb egg."
Several seconds later, Chu Mo jolted awake at Ying Chenfeng's "bomb egg." She sat up, didn't even have time to put on her shoes, and ran in a panic to find him, shouting as she went, "Let's get remarried! Right now!"
Ying Chenfeng was still frying the egg in the kitchen. Hearing Chu Mo's voice approaching, he immediately turned off the stove, covered the half-finished bomb egg, and turned with a smile to walk toward her.
"Sure. Let's go get dressed."
As he spoke, he scooped Chu Mo up and carried her toward the bedroom.
Chu Mo: ...
Something just doesn't feel right.
