[Woman-to-Man] A Western Han Prince's Rise Through the Ranks

[Content warning: Female transmigrates into a male body. Please proceed with caution. Set in a parallel world, where the protagonist transmigrates into a game. Not connected to official history.] When Liu Rui learned that the game she was playing wasn't the Concubine's Promotion game, complete with a bonus pack, but an Emperor's Growth game that started on hard mode and ended with a hellish start, all she wanted before beginning her studies was some peace and quiet. At the time, she... no! He had two pieces of good news and two pieces of bad news in front of him. The bad news was that his mother was a distant great-niece of his great-grandmother, a thoroughly respectable member of the imperial in-law clan. She was only average-looking and had failed to win the emperor's favor, leaving his scumbag father free to marry a whole bunch of concubines and father more than a dozen sons. Among those concubines was also the mother of the future Emperor Wu, the great emperor known to history. The good news was that he lived in the Western Han dynasty, a time that made the "legitimate-versus-illegitimate heir" faction rejoice. His grandfather ruled through filial piety, so as long as he didn't do anything stupid and his great-grandmother lived a few more years, he could be promoted from legitimate imperial son to emperor, turning hard mode into hell mode. So Liu Rui only had three major problems to deal with: first, make sure his great-grandmother, his protective talisman, lived to a ripe old age; second, avoid making mistakes under his father's watchful eye; and third, hit the weights and try to offset the pretty face that had led everyone to think he had put his stat points in the wrong place. If Heaven let him reallocate the points from his bonus pack, he'd max out archery or cunning instead of mindlessly boosting his looks. Note: Children are conceived through technology, and the consorts are original characters. The harem members all have careers and work under the consorts according to the story. Since the protagonist, who is female in mind but male in body, can't get past her hang-ups, there will be no romance for him. Just think of him as a lifelong virgin. Expected to go premium on November 11, 2022, with a 10,000-word update that day. Theme: Face challenges head-on and change the world.
