Farming with My Husband After Retirement

-- [Aloof, Desireless Top vs. Money-Loving, Easygoing Bottom] --

Qin Chi was famous for his fiery temper for miles around. With no one to rely on and a tagalong to raise, he was still unmarried at the ripe old age of eighteen.

One day, he found a famous sword by the stream, and happened to bring its owner home as well. The stern man in black woke up blind: he had fallen off a cliff, suffered a head injury, and the cold poison in his body had taken its toll.

Qin Chi ran his fingers over the black iron blade, his eyes gleaming with thoughts of money. "This sword must be worth a pretty penny. How about... using it to repay your debt to me? Then we'll be even!"

The cold-faced man froze. Bracing himself against the bed, he lowered his head and coughed uncontrollably. "Pfft!"

Qin Chi stared at the pool of black blood on the floor, his pupils shrinking with terror.

Help! He'd actually made the man cough up blood.

Yu Xiu stayed there to recover, intending to leave after repaying his debt. He never expected to end up offering himself in marriage.

Qin Chi hadn't expected Yu Xiu to be a lucky charm, either. After he arrived, Qin Chi went from struggling to put food on the table to having more than enough to eat and wear. He kept his land, opened a shop, and got his nephew into school... Everything in his life was looking up, except his own marriage prospects.

A strip of white cloth covered the man's eyes. His brows swept back like swords, and his nose was straight above his well-defined lips. Qin Chi stared, captivated.

Qin Chi: "You're really handsome."

Yu Xiu: "More handsome than silver?"

Qin Chi: "Handsome. Want to marry me?"

Yu Xiu: "...Tone it down."

[Please note]

1. The bottom has a five-year-old nephew, and pregnancy is assumed to be possible.

2. The story is mainly about farming and running a street stall, with very little court or martial-world intrigue.

3. The top's eyesight will recover. Later, his hand will be impaired, but not severed; he just won't wield a sword as deftly as before.

Theme: Physical limitations are not frightening. What is frightening is letting your heart grow barren too.
