The Cannon Fodder Ex-Wife Only Cares About Studying

Academic genius Weng Wan transmigrated into a book, becoming the cannon-fodder ex-wife of the villain in an entertainment-industry novel.

In the book, she was the heroine Wen Ruowei's older sister and also her foil: a C-list actress plagued by scandals.

It was the day after she and the villain, Lu Xiuzhu, got divorced when a variety show called Back to School came looking for her.

-

Back to School was a live-streamed study variety show. Five guests, whose highest level of education was junior high, would attend high school and take classes and exams alongside the students.

A retired movie queen, a popular idol with princess syndrome... and Weng Wan, known throughout the entertainment industry for having the most scandals, the worst personality, and the fewest friends. The show drew plenty of attention before it even aired.

On the first day of the show, viewers eagerly clicked into the livestream, ready to watch Weng Wan, who had been assigned to the worst class, get crushed by her studies.

Instead, they watched her study seriously all day.

Viewers: She's faking it! There's no way she's not!

They camped out in the livestream, waiting to see when she would finally drop the act.

Then came the first monthly exam, and Weng Wan took first place in the entire grade with a near-perfect score.

Viewers: ?!?! That's impossible!

Later, everyone realized that Weng Wan, known throughout the entertainment industry for having the most scandals, the worst personality, and the fewest friends, was nothing like the person they had imagined on the show.

The movie queen became her close friend, the ill-tempered school heartthrob called her the Big Boss, and the princess-syndrome idol used her main account to openly curse out the trolls on her behalf.

Under Weng Wan's influence, the class with the worst grades became the best. Her fans even adopted the slogan, "We don't boost charts. We just do practice problems," and threw themselves into studying...

Every one of these changes was thanks to Weng Wan.

As for Weng Wan herself...

The following year, she quietly became the provincial top scorer in the college entrance exam, shaking the entire entertainment industry.
