A tsundere young master x a sweet, naive, slow-on-the-uptake girl | Mutual crush

-

When Yan Xin first met Duan Yue at the age of ten, she was captivated by his good looks and stared at him without blinking.

Duan Yue got annoyed by her staring and yelled, "What are you looking at, brat?"

That set the tone for their relationship. From then on, Yan Xin became a coward who couldn't help feeling nervous and scared whenever she saw Duan Yue.

She was an adopted daughter living under someone else's roof. The Duan family had promised to take care of her for life, because her father had died in place of Duan Yue's father, leaving her an orphan.

When Duan Yue competed in a basketball game, girls packed the court three deep, surrounding him so tightly no one could get through.

Every girl was talking about Duan Yue, amid deafening screams and cheers.

But Yan Xin had been ordered to stand by with a towel and a water bottle, waiting for the young master's instructions.

Duan Yue left the court, walked through the crowd, and headed straight for Yan Xin, who was stuck on the outer edge.

"Give me the water."

Every eye in the place turned toward Yan Xin.

The year Duan Yue went abroad, he looked at Yan Xin for a long time, seeming to want to say something. In the end, all he managed was a warning.

"While I'm gone, behave yourself. Don't hang around with those unsavory people. I'll be back to check up on you at any time."

Yan Xin didn't dare refuse, so she said okay. Besides, he would be far away, so there was no way he could find out if she started dating someone.

On the day Duan Yue returned, he immediately heard that Yan Xin had started dating someone and moved out of the Duan family home.

He forced Yan Xin to break up, made her work as his assistant and stay late with him, and told her to come watch him play basketball.

When Duan Yue handed Yan Xin his bank card, she happily accepted it and said, "You want me to keep it safe for you? Sure."

Duan Yue felt like he was about to go crazy. Yan Xin could go on dates with other men and still gaze at him with sparkling eyes while he changed, looking like she wanted to devour him.

If he had any self-respect, he should have refused. But when Yan Xin couldn't help asking if she could touch him, he nodded without a shred of backbone.
