My Daoist Friend Is a Top-tier Star

1. Yan Siwei is a modern cultivator.

His sect is hidden deep in the mountains, cut off from the world.

A prophecy was made a thousand years ago: in three years, the entire cultivation world will face utter destruction.

The only way to prevent it is to find the savior foretold in the prophecy.

2.

Following the prophecy, Yan Siwei descends the mountain and enters modern society.

He successfully finds the legendary savior, but the other man isn't a cultivator.

Yan Siwei: What's the entertainment industry? What's a top-tier star?

3.

To make the legendary savior become a cultivator of the mystic sect, Yan Siwei wants to teach him the Dao.

Top-tier star: I have a commercial shoot today. No time.

Top-tier star: I'm going on a variety show tomorrow. No time.

Top-tier star: I'm joining a big-budget film next month. No time.

4.

The top-tier star scoffs at Yan Siwei's "feudal superstition," so Yan Siwei can only follow him around every day, trying to persuade him.

Who would have guessed that entertainment industry bigwigs would take a liking to Yan Siwei?

Fashion mogul: It's the golden September and silver October season. You can be our cover model.

Variety show mogul: Come on the show. Name your price.

Film mogul: Join the cast. You'll be the leading man.

Sugar daddy: Siwei, marry me. I'll make you a best actor and best television actor, and turn you into a rich young heir.

5.

The top-tier star is completely won over by Yan Siwei.

"Siwei, I'll learn the Dao from you and help save the cultivation world..."

"...if only you and I can love each other and stay together."
