The Little Mermaid's Beloved Life

In the interstellar age, humanity evolved beastfolk genes, and newborn cubs were born in animal form.

But even at three years old, Li An'an was still a human cub who couldn't transform.

Her wealthy family couldn't tolerate a defective child, and without hesitation, they threw her and her father out of the house.

To survive, the father and daughter went to work in the entertainment industry. Before long, they became famous by accident.

During a live broadcast of a family variety show, Li An'an, who had gone viral for her good looks, accidentally fell into the water.

Before the viewers could even worry, they watched helplessly as the cub's little legs gave a sudden pop and turned into a chubby little tail.

There was a special race in the stars: merfolk.

Mysterious, powerful, precious, and beautiful, they were hailed by the public as the treasures of the universe. Their singing was the only known cure for mental illness.

They rarely appeared in public, yet had an enormous fan base on the Star Network.

Each time one of them appeared in public, they set off a storm across the Star Network, taking over every trending topic and headline.

Yet the merfolk, who had always kept a low profile and shrouded themselves in mystery, sent out their entire royal family and left their homeland in private starships overnight the moment they saw Li An'an's transformation video.

They were going to bring home the cub who had been lost outside their clan.

But when they arrived, they came face-to-face with the Emperor, famed as a tyrant, gloomy and cruel, and feared by all.

And their cub was lying in the tyrant's arms, holding a brightly colored hair tie and tying a little braid in the tyrant's hair? ^_^
