The Cannon Fodder's Character Keeps Breaking Down

Top student Luo Shu is transported into a wish-fulfillment novel about a popular heartthrob, where he becomes a vicious cannon fodder character. He's also bound to a System. The System says, “You must keep up your academic slacker persona. You can't score more than 30 points on any test, or you'll be electrocuted.” Luo Shu: “Sure. I'll only answer the bonus questions in math, physics, chemistry, and biology, and hand in blank papers for every other subject.” After the exams, Luo Shu scores 120 points in total. But because he solves bonus questions that stump the entire school, he draws the attention of the Education Bureau and is hailed as a top student. The System says, “You must keep up your pathetic simp persona, giving up your dignity to grovel at the feet of the popular heartthrob protagonist, or you'll be eliminated.” Luo Shu: “Sure. First, I'll find someone to teach me how to simp.” So he spends his mornings tutoring the top student, his afternoons playing basketball with an upperclassman, and his evenings helping a younger student with homework. In his spare time, he also has to make conversation with every Tom, Dick, and Harry who asks. Written as a simp, read as a player. The System says, “You must be bullied and humiliated, and you can't fight back.” Luo Shu: “But... I can't do that.” Luo Shu kicks the bully who's been picking on him straight into a trash can. His cannon fodder persona is completely ruined. The System is kaput. * Luo Shu knows that school bully Pei Yuan is the protagonist of this novel, a textbook male lead: rich, devoted, handsome, and willing to die for the popular heartthrob. Luo Shu soon witnesses one of the novel's iconic scenes. Pei Yuan is holding a bouquet of roses, about to confess to the popular heartthrob. Luo Shu watches from the front row, ready for the show. The next second, he watches in disbelief as Pei Yuan walks right past the heartthrob and kneels on one knee in front of him. Luo Shu: Hello? Are you insane? Theme: Education changes your fate
