I Never Want to Love You Again

Yu Chang has everything going for him: he's sunny and handsome, in great shape, and good at basketball. The only thing is, he doesn't love Lu Yao.

Lu Yao has loved Yu Chang for ten whole years.

When she was thirteen, she learned that Yu Chang was her fiance. The first time she saw him, the boy had just finished playing basketball. He stood in the rain, holding a ball and looking at her. It was love at first sight, and her heart fell for him.

She was willing to do anything for him. Everyone told her to let him go, since Yu Chang didn't like her.

But she refused.

The boy carried her on his back and weighed her. "You've gained weight," he said, yet he kept buying her snacks.

She thought the boy liked her, too.

Until...

On the day she confessed, she saw another girl by his side and realized there had always been someone else in his heart, his unattainable first love.

And she was the fool. He told her, "I've always thought of you as a little sister."

Just a little sister.

She left, acting carefree on the outside. But that rainy night, her face was wet, and she couldn't tell whether it was rain or tears.

She disappeared.

After Lu Yao left that day, Yu Chang didn't think much of it.

He laughed. "She'll come back. All I have to do is call, and she'll come right back to me."

Their friends egged him on. In front of them, he dialed her number, but a mechanical voice came on: "The number you have dialed is switched off."

Yu Chang: "..."

The next time he saw her was at the training ground. By then, she was a professional sniper on the national team.

He thought she would come looking for him, but...

She fired ten shots in a row, hitting the bullseye every time, flipped him the bird, and walked away with a swagger.

That carefree smile stung his eyes.

Later, Yu Chang cornered her at the training ground, his eyes bloodshot. "Why won't you talk to me anymore?"

Whoever falls first loses. As it turned out, he was the one who had fallen first.

Theme: Once you took me for granted. Now I'm someone you'll never measure up to.
