Reborn on the eve of the apocalypse, Lang Yuan sees himself rushing toward him, stumbling along with a hideously disfigured face.

Fresh from his bath, Lang Yuan has skin like jade and striking beauty. He tilts his head in confusion. "Who are you?"

Lang Yuan parts his lips. "...My name is Lang Yuan!"

The Yuan in abyss. I'm you, the one who crawled out of hell.

Lang Yuan has endured countless hardships. Now that he's returned, all he wants is for Lang Yuan to live freely.

So when the apocalypse breaks out, he uses his foreknowledge to make sure Lang Yuan can live in comfort and safety.

But the fiance who caused his death keeps pursuing Lang Yuan, who can't seem to make a clean break.

Lang Yuan's eyes turn gloomy. During an attack by a terrifying monster, he deliberately lets his fiance push him off a building. "...Still haven't seen what he's really like?"

"Do you want to die?!" Lang Yuan's eyes blaze with fury.

It's hard to change a person's nature, especially when that person is strong-willed, has never suffered, and has a bit of a savior complex.

Lang Yuan stays by Lang Yuan's side under the pretense of having come to seek refuge.

Watching over him, protecting him, and helping him grow stronger.

After finally driving away all the pests buzzing around them, he realizes: something's changed between them!

"I want to understand you."

Lang Yuan says, "You know me too well. I want to know everything about you, too."

Lang Yuan's dead heart gives a faint tremor. His voice almost shakes as he asks, "Why?"

Why does he want to understand him?

And what will he do once he does?

Much later, Lang Yuan learns the truth.

He clutches the version of himself who was once broken and battered, trembling all over.

The salvation he'd yearned for in the depths of despair was, in the end, something he gave himself!
