-Drafted in the form of an initial write-up-
Jiang Wu is kidnapped by a shameless System and forced to transmigrate into a book, where she becomes a bona fide second-generation immortal in the cultivation world.
With a sect leader for a father and senior brothers and sisters looking after her, Jiang Wu is perfectly content with her situation, except for the tasks issued by the System.
But she has a healthy attitude: They're just tasks. Bring them on.
And so...
She gains a wealthy adoptive mother: a kind-hearted, beautiful big sister who's so rich she practically oozes money and has the backing of an entire sect;
She gains a friend from another race: a dazzling little mermaid with formidable strength and an overwhelming need to protect her;
She gains a personal projector: a spirit of a secret realm that shows the cultivation world's past from every angle;
Most importantly, she unexpectedly gets a blind date: a handsome, powerful, supremely strong, “unknown” sword cultivator;
But behind the scenes...
The big sister is a sect leader, decisive and iron-fisted, a famously beautiful man-eater in the cultivation world;
The little mermaid is the head of the royal family, inscrutable, innocent, and cruel, and the culprit behind the turmoil in the Star Sea;
The spirit of the secret realm is the source of evil, once dragging tens of thousands into a pitch-black nightmare all by itself;
The blind date is the foremost cultivator, the unquestioned number one in the world, standing at the top of the cultivation world's food chain;
But the System never told her that these were all some of the original novel's most important characters: infamous villains in the cultivation world.
Jiang Wu, after learning the truth: “...”
“Damn it! The System screwed me over!”
Coming soon: She Says We Can Still Be Friends After Breaking Up
Blurb:
The Floating Clouds Record is an excellent farming game set in a fantastical ancient world. Even during its closed beta, it received rave reviews from players.
The thousands of reviews boiled down to one thing: lots of different ways to play.
But Ruan Fu was drawn to Floating Clouds Record because its NPCs were romanceable.
At first glance, she fell for the one tucked away in the farthest corner among the twelve main NPCs, and the one every player agreed was the hardest to romance.
To win him over, Ruan Fu gave up the riches that romancing the other NPCs could bring. She devoted herself to becoming a farming player who started from nothing and stayed faithful to one person.
She tried every approach and gave him every gift. It took her a full year in real life to figure out what he liked and max out his affection.
At last they got married, making her the only player ever to reach the marriage stage with him.
Ruan Fu thought married life would bring her delightful surprises, but her husband remained as devoted as ever to staying in his room and sleeping all day.
Ruan Fu: Fine.
Fortunately, the game system was player-friendly: you could get married, and you could get divorced too.
She promptly divorced him and romanced all eleven of the other NPCs. Yet she still couldn't let go of her first love. She raised his affection again and remarried him twice, only to divorce him twice more.
By the end, Ruan Fu had grown bored of the game and decided to leave it for good. After writing a long post discussing how “the development of a certain character was not player-friendly at all,” she went to bed.
When she opened her eyes again, she had arrived in the world of Floating Clouds Record.
There were the eleven NPCs she'd romanced, each only a few hearts short of max affection, along with the handsome ex-husband she'd married three times and was currently divorced from.
Ruan Fu: “...”
Great. Let her die.
Reading guide:
1. The author is terrible at writing blurbs and loves sweet romance.
2. The leads fall in love like elementary schoolers (probably). They don't like each other from the start.
Theme: A life-saving kindness is best repaid by offering yourself in marriage
I'm sorry, I'm guilty. I feel that the heroine, the senior sister, the heroine and the senior brother are all enjoying themselves.
Could it be that the male protagonist is the earthworm that was rescued?
I like this story very much. I feel that the more I write it, the better it gets.
Why does the book only have 4 comments?
I don't know why, but this young version of the immortal is a bit annoying to watch, and the heroine also feels a bit depressing, well...
Good guy, it's really an earthworm.
Ah, is the animation The Adventures of Jackie Chan?
There's no more parents episode, right? (Crying) Is the next book going to be The Devil or My Ex-Husband? To be honest, I am attracted to The Devil (akimbo)
Math teacher, where are the details? Physical education teacher, where are the moves?
