I Became the Strongest on Earth After the Global Storm

The essentials of an apocalypse game and movie.

A geologist dad.

A doctor mom.

A rebellious son, and someone who loves him but can never have him.

Chu Yingquan was playing that rebellious son.

A character he had created himself.

To make the game harder, he had also written off the protagonist's childhood friend, a well-read meteorologist whose talents had gone unrecognized.

Ah, so this was what happened when you left all the sadness to the players.

Chu Yingquan decided to lie flat.

He knew the plot inside out. If he just kept his head down for ten years, the world would be at peace.

But then he saw his mutated childhood friend, Shen Ting, the long-finned mermaid, crawling eerily through a rift in the ice field.

Chu Yingquan slowly lay down inside his tent.

What the hell? Did I get up too early?

I never wrote this. I'll sleep a little longer.

Shen Ting: ...

When the apocalypse came, all living things suffered. After the initial storms, people discovered that a prophet had appeared on Earth.

He could predict storms, avoid disasters with precision, and locate supply points.

People followed him of their own accord, forming a mobile city of survivors.

Then the mutated creatures appeared.

The prophet became the strongest being on the surface. He could summon the terrifying monsters and make them disappear at will, and they competed for jobs in the ruins.

The eighteen-legged octopus with a human head was assigned to plow the fields.

He was delighted. "I can work with nine tentacles and stand guard with the other nine. I won't need a day off all year, and all I want for pay is spicy crayfish! Thank you for giving me a job, Mr. Chu!"

The spider lady with six pairs of eyes was assigned to weave cloth.

She was delighted. "I've loved handicrafts since I was little. Dressing up dolls is my hobby. I never thought I'd get to do it even after mutating! I don't want any pay! Thank you, Prophet!"

Shen Ting, whose fins were as long as colorful silk and as sharp as blades, had to give the weather forecast in the morning and help cook in the kitchen at noon. He was forced to switch effortlessly between his fish tail and human legs.

At night, Shen Ting cuddled up to Chu Yingquan and whispered intimately in his ear, "I have two now."

Chu Yingquan covered his mouth. "You are not allowed to have two. I never wrote that."
