A Drop in Sweetness

The day Li Li climbed over the wall to skip class, she slipped and fell straight onto Chen Yubai, the top student in their grade.

He didn't seem as aloof and arrogant as the rumors claimed.

He caught her, even holding her bridal-style.

Later, when their teacher personally asked him to tutor her, he didn't refuse either.

Her best friend couldn't help asking, "Could the top student be trying to date you?"

"As if!"

Li Li denied it out loud, but inside, her heart was pounding like a deer's.

She was waiting to see whether he'd confess first or whether she should take him by surprise and speak up herself.

Instead, she got a phone call about a traffic accident.

In a single night, she lost her family, and her emotions spiraled completely out of control.

Six years passed in the blink of an eye. Busy struggling through life, Li Li no longer had time to think about the boy who had once made her heart flutter.

Until one day, she took a job and unexpectedly reunited with Chen Yubai.

From meeting again after years apart to living under the same roof, she didn't want to let the chance slip by.

So she worked up the courage to tell him what she hadn't managed to say six years earlier. "Chen Yubai, can I pursue you?"

"I'm hard to pursue." Chen Yubai looked at her, his expression calm.

But the next day, all she had to do was playfully ask him for a hug.

He couldn't help holding her tighter and tighter, his voice trembling as if he had finally regained something he'd lost. "Congratulations. You got me."

Opens with a reunion after years apart, cozy everyday life, and interwoven school-days memories.

A sweet romance!
