[Lyrical Version]
Tsuna Sawada failed during his secret meeting with Byakuran, the leader of the hostile Millefiore Family. As the blood drained from his body, taking its warmth with it, Tsuna's mind began to grow hazy. He couldn't make out the expression on Byakuran's face or hear the frantic shouts around him. Yet amid his confusion and bewilderment, he felt a strange sense of relief.
Who had dragged him into the abyss of darkness? Who had burdened him with such heavy responsibilities? Who had brought the colors of friendship into his life? Who had blurred the line between friendship and love...? Tsuna Sawada had no time to think. The pendulum of his life stopped when he was twenty-four.
When Tsuna Sawada regained consciousness, he was confused. He faintly heard a gentle, lively woman's voice calling his name, but all he could see was darkness. Unlike the cold, suffocating darkness before, this darkness was warm, like a reassuring cradle. As he drifted, he closed his eyes and let go. Tsuna Sawada's memories slowly faded, leaving behind only a mature and resilient soul.
[Chaotic Version]
What if his Hyper Dying Will hadn't been sealed when he was five...?
Would everything have turned out differently?
He awakened his Dying Will Flame early because a bottle broke while he was out running an errand? He cried because he was in a bind?
Little Hibari, still a tiny kid himself, drew out his tonfa and faced the Chihuahua in front of him. "You're the one who made him cry? I'll bite you to death!"
The Chihuahua trembled. "Yip... yip?"
Tsuna clung to his leg and tilted his head. "Don't be mean to it. It's not its fault. I just tripped over my own feet..."
And then, because of his Dying Will Flame, he had to attend a Mafia school. How would a little white rabbit survive after wandering into a pack of ferocious wolves?
X-Dad pointed a gun at his nemesis, hoping to clear the obstacle in advance. "I'll kill you now, you piece of trash."
S-Mom drew a stainless-steel dagger that wasn't even half as long as her forearm. "Quit waving that around. It's plastic."
Tsuna's eyes filled with tears. "Thank goodness we're still kids, and the school doesn't allow weapons... Wah! Mom, I miss you!"
After failing Italian and not graduating, he had no choice but to return to Namimori and continue middle school. Where would a boy who spoke Japanese with an Italian accent go from here?
He thought he'd be oppressed and exploited, but after saving a baseball player who was about to jump off a building and a bomb-obsessed boy who was playing with fire...
He unexpectedly reached the peak of his life?
Tsuna beamed. "Thank you, dear teacher. You saved me from a life that was just about to turn bleak."
Bang!
A Dying Will Bullet whizzed past his forehead.
The devil teacher: "Cut out that stupid, girl-magnet grin!"
Reader's Guide:
1. Tsuna Sawada is the name from his previous life. He transmigrates into another body but brings no memories with him. Tsuna Sawada is his name in this life. He meets his friends from ten years ago with the soul of his ten-years-older self: a warmer, more mature soul that draws a group of dazzling boys to him.
2. This follows the original plot, with some original settings and lots of out-of-character behavior. Run! Tsuna's personality is how the author imagines him ten years later. He's not as good-for-nothing and soft as in the original. He's perceptive, knows how to say no, but overall stays fairly close to the original characterization.
3. The plot in the regular blurb is just for reference, just for reference. The actual story will be closer to the lyrical version. I'll replace it if I come up with a version I like better.
4. Please read with care. I'm open to writing advice, but not personal attacks. If you don't like this story, please click the top-right corner and move on.
