A Thorn in the Side

A Grave Concern: Meaning their closest confidants are deeply worried

Two major events have recently shaken the cultivation world:

First, after a thousand years of fighting, the Immortal Venerable and the Demon Venerable ascended one after the other.

Second, after the two great masters ascended, the Immortal Venerable's confidant and the Demon Venerable's confidant got together!

Now, the whole cultivation world is spreading the story of how the two confidants spent a thousand years trading blows, fighting in the open and behind the scenes. Like two peas in a pod, they fell for each other, but their opposing loyalties forced them to keep their feelings buried. At last, they outlasted their masters, and their long-suppressed love could finally burst forth in a passionate romance.

Yao Qingyue never expected things to go this way.

He had merely lost his sense of direction after the Immortal Venerable's ascension, and, overcome with grief, gotten into a fight with his longtime rival who happened to be passing by.

...Then Chi Yang goaded him with a few words until he was tongue-tied and worked up, and he blurted out, "Then why don't we get together? What do you say?"

Who could have guessed that the other man would put on his usual infuriating, half-smiling expression and casually say two words: "Sure."

There weren't many onlookers, but each of them had ten mouths.

In just two days, this heartrending love story had taken the cultivation world by storm!

Theme: Don't get lost in sorrow over the past. You have to be happy!
