Fang Jue stumbled across a post on the campus forum.
The poster, S, said that one day he woke up in his childhood friend’s bed and suddenly realized he had fallen for his friend, F.
He hoped his friend would present as an Omega while he presented as an Alpha, so he could confess his feelings.
Fang Jue couldn’t stand people who were so self-centered. He left a comment saying, “Who cares what gender other people present as? Mind your own business,” then scrolled past the post.
Luckily, his childhood friend Su Ting wasn’t like that.
Su Ting was gentle and kind, always thinking of others.
Fang Jue would browse the campus forum from time to time to pass the boring hours while waiting for Su Ting’s tutoring class to end.
S’s post kept popping up on his forum home page, with new comments almost every day.
F rode me to school on his bike and let me wrap my arms around his waist from behind. His waist is so slim. I wish he’d wear thinner clothes.
I sleep in the same bed as F. I wake up early every day, and not to do anything in particular. I just undo the buttons on his pajamas.
F has a tiny black mole on his Adam’s apple. When he drinks, the mole moves along with it. I really want to lick it.
F…
Fang Jue remembered that he often rode Su Ting to school on his bike, and Su Ting would hug his waist tightly from the back seat because he was afraid of falling.
They also sometimes slept in the same bed. Whether at Fang Jue’s house or Su Ting’s, Su Ting was always the one who woke up first, and Fang Jue would always find that his pajama buttons had been undone.
More importantly, Fang Jue really did have a black mole on his Adam’s apple.

Fang Jue loved gossip. As soon as he started high school, he eagerly lurked on the campus forum, dropping in on all sorts of posts to watch the drama unfold.
Su Ting discovered this in their second year of high school, so he joined the forum too and wrote a post about S’s unrequited crush on F.
He included plenty of detail, with just the right touch of gloomy creepiness in his wording. More importantly, he posted a little more of their “crush” story every day.
After being fed new posts day after day, Fang Jue, the fish who loved gossip, finally took the bait.
Fang Jue started avoiding Su Ting. He turned down their usual bike rides to school and stopped staying over at night. He even refused to let Su Ting touch him.
During this time, Su Ting came across a new post on the campus forum.
The poster, J, asked if there was any way to guarantee a second presentation as an Omega.
Su Ting had a mischievous thought and commented: Try having more physical contact with the person you like.
The next day, Fang Jue stopped Su Ting at the entrance to the building with his bicycle, blushing as he said, “Let’s go to school together.”
But Su Ting’s advice really was nonsense.
He presented as an Alpha, and Fang Jue presented as an Alpha too.
Fang Jue drooped his head and muttered, “It’s over. We can’t be together now.”
Su Ting couldn’t take it anymore and flicked the fool on the forehead.
“Bite my gland,” Su Ting said. “Or I’ll bite yours.”

Fang Jue × Su Ting
A tall, burly, hot-blooded fool who loves gossip and notices every little detail × a cool, gentle, gloomy and obsessive schemer
An Alpha who smells like sunshine and an Alpha who smells like sea salt
Some original worldbuilding. Alpha/Alpha, mutual pursuit, no fixed roles. Sorry if this isn’t your thing.
