Wen Yiru was watching TV one second, then plunged into endless darkness the next. When she woke up again, she found herself at the bottom of the abyssal sea, with no one around.
She opened her mouth to call for help, but all that came out was a string of bubbles.
Just as Wen Yiru was about to despair, her distress signal went through, but it attracted something strange.
A giant deep-sea beast swam slowly toward her through the darkness. Wen Yiru held her breath, afraid it would swallow her whole.
Unexpectedly, the monster suddenly spoke in a gentle voice. "Welcome home, my queen."
Wen Yiru: "Uh, me?" (Stammering and bewildered)
The giant beast transformed into a human and revealed the companions hidden behind him. His peerlessly handsome face was filled with reverence. "Yes. Your subjects are all waiting for you."
And so Wen Yiru saw a giant squid (a gentle, scheming handsome man with long curly hair)
a great white shark (a green young man who loves to fight)
a sperm whale (a fragrant, burly crybaby)
a leatherback sea turtle (an honest man who owns a house)
Her old home was gone, and staying here seemed pretty nice. Just as Wen Yiru thought this, she realized she'd turned into the biggest monster of them all.
