Faced with doubts from her former classmates, Qingshui Jiu could only invent a persona who would risk her life for revenge, while quietly clearing her first identity's name.

By the narrowest of margins, she joined the Public Security team and fought alongside them. In secret, however, she passed along information and destroyed traces left behind by the organization.

The sniper must have been a rookie, everyone thought.

But after narrowly escaping death, Xia Shi Jianghe seemed like a different person. He latched onto Matsuda and Hagiwara, the two bomb disposal officers who came to visit him.

The duo became a trio.

People started speculating: Had Officer Xia Shi fallen for one of them?

The wager spread through the police force's underground circles.

Before long, the two officers had lost their place in his affections.
