(An ensemble story about ordinary people in the apocalypse, with no superpowers.)
(A hilarious, rousing everyday tale of stockpiling supplies, defending home, and saving the world alongside the tough old men and women in the neighborhood.)
In City X, a famous apartment building stands alone amid the ruins after refusing to be demolished. Neither mediation by the city government nor the developer cutting off its water and electricity could drive away the last twelve households, a united bunch of eccentric residents, young and old.
They stockpiled food, grew vegetables, dug wells, built walls, and armed themselves with high-tech equipment, including infrared surveillance cameras, down to the toilets. They swore to fight to the end.
That day, the building's water was shut off again.
Someone grumbled while scooping water from a storage barrel to wash vegetables.
Someone else, planning ahead, brought out a solar generator.
Granny Jiang's little granddaughter expertly opened the government mini-app and copied in a complaint, ready to submit it, when she discovered that the internet was already in an uproar:
"Oh my God, the apocalypse is here!"
Jiang Yunshao had been reborn.
In her previous life, when the zombie outbreak began, she was working at the office. Whether she was lucky or not, she was bitten and killed by a coworker who had just turned into a zombie.
As soon as she opened her eyes again, she drove straight home.
She'd thought the next part would be her leading her grandmother and younger sister to stockpile supplies and fight zombies, carrying the whole team. She never expected to be the one carried by the stubborn residents who refused to move out.
