[The main story concluded on June 28. It will be moved to the completed VIP section afterward.]
Yesterday, Jiang Qian challenged the Demon Basin BOSS in the game "Ten Thousand Tribulations: Survival" and triggered a strange bug, causing her top-tier account data to collapse.
Jiang Qian bought an overnight standing ticket and rushed to the game's headquarters to demand compensation, only to find the Demon Basin BOSS itself in the building's reception hall.
The Demon Basin said:
"Greetings, Lord. Ten Thousand Tribulations: Survival is officially online!"
"Lord 000, your base has been established. Please carry it on your back."
"Account recovery progress: 1%."
"Bound loot: Treasure-Gathering Demon Basin. Demon Basin, Demon Basin, it can swallow anything."
"Quest One: Swallow three playboys. Reward: the skill [Beginner's Slacking]. Base unlock: [Fish Pond]."
"Quest Two: Swallow a chef. Reward: the skill [Beginner's Cooking]. Base unlock: [Kitchen]."
"Quest Three: Swallow three zombies. The Demon Basin rewards you with [One Extra Life]..."
Jiang Qian paused, realizing there was a problem. Would the playboys, the chef, and the zombies start fighting inside the basin? If they did, the chef would be a little lonely.
Wait, that's not the point. The point is, those rewards are all skills from my original account! You're making me start over.
The good news: the game you've been waiting for has officially launched! The bad news: it's launched in the real world.
That day, the game and reality overlapped, and a global crisis of monsters erupted.
Jiang Qian carried her base basin on her back and set out on a path of swallowing people at the slightest provocation and building things anywhere, anytime.
Stockpiling, building, stockpiling, building. The base's solid defenses were what made Jiang Qian feel safest.
So, as floodwaters and a zombie siege threatened the headquarters building, Jiang Qian stepped forward without hesitation and shouted to the crowd:
"Are there any playboys here? I have a chance for you to raise fish..."
Here's a recommendation for my completed story, "I Donated Supplies from Another World": an intelligence agent's adventures in another world, exploring strange civilizations and diverse creatures. Take a look if that sounds interesting!
Theme: The turbulent seas reveal the true mettle of heroes.
