Tom Riddle was adopted by a young man.

At twenty-six, Tom saw him again.

He had gone from Ivanhoe to Don Juan, from Lancelot to Don Quixote.

In Chapter One, the author was convinced this was Oliver Twist.

In Chapter Two, the author thought it was rather like A Little Princess.

In Chapter Three, the author got a hint of The Secret Garden.

In Chapter Four, the author vaguely remembered The Prince and the Pauper.

Later, the author began to wonder whether it should be called The Adventures of Tom Riddle.

Later still, the author finally understood: this story should be called Tom and His Long-Legged Uncle!

The author was struck as if by lightning.
