[Ace of Diamond] Delinquents and Honor Students Aren't Has-Beens

In middle school, Kuramochi fell for the top student in his class. But there was absolutely no overlap between a delinquent and an honor student. He wasn't about to get some plot where the good student tutors the bad one, either. "Kuramochi... You're kind of scary." In their second year, they were merely acquaintances. In their third, they had no connection at all. Ah, he couldn't even keep playing baseball in Chiba. But if he was lucky enough to get into Seido... Maybe he shouldn't say anything at graduation. At the graduation ceremony, Kuramochi saw the person he loved being embraced by an unfamiliar boy. Great. Not only had his friendship hit a wall, his love life was in pieces too. A perfect setup for a shonen manga about a boy setting off alone to make his way in the world. Kuramochi Yoichi was ready! Kuramochi Yoichi! Ready to face any challenge! Kuramochi, whose mind went blank on the first day of school and who reflexively caught his crush as they were about to fall: … What the heck? So this isn't just a baseball series, it's a baseball romance series too?! "The delinquent and the honor student are relics of the past. I refuse to believe that crap." ? A very old-fashioned delinquent boy x well-behaved honor student girl Notes: 1. The narration switches between first and third person. 2. The writing is a mess, with a mix of lightweight Japanese-style web fiction (emphasis on lightweight). 3. Mostly everyday life, with very little baseball. 4. Classic pure romance that makes you want to scream, 'Just get together already!' Firmly 1v1, and the whole cast is here to play matchmaker! 5. The author's motto: There is no end to digging holes, and filling them in is a distant dream. 6. Writing this for love, no writing advice, please~ Theme: The revival of old trends is the spirit of the times.
