A Message from the Wind

Years later, you run into your high school crush. Do you go up and say hello, or pretend you didn't see them?

-

Back in high school, Ji Yuhe had a crush she'd carried for years on a student in another class on the same floor. To catch a glimpse of him, she deliberately walked past his classroom every day.

She went from being a schoolmate he'd never met to someone he exchanged nods with.

She'd planned to confess after graduation, but a twist of fate kept her from doing it.

Years later, they meet again, and Ji Yuhe discovers that he's her new neighbor.

They stand together in the elevator, surrounded by silence.

Ji Yuhe stares into his eyes and can't help asking, "Do you remember me?"

His gaze settles on her face. "Hello, I'm Feng Jinian."

Then he says, "Long time no see, Ji Yuhe."

How could he ever forget?

The girl he'd confessed to twice as a teenager, only to be turned down both times.

-

One day after they get together, Ji Yuhe opens the QQ account she hasn't used in ages and discovers that at some point, without her knowing, she'd added him as a friend.

She opens their message history. The most recent message is from five years ago.

Ji Yuhe, would you be my girlfriend?

#Wait, you liked me too?#

*Mutual pining, with a happy ending
