But when he killed demons, his jade-like fingers stained with blood and a cruel smile crept into his eyes, making him seem like a demon from the underworld.

To Lu Taoyue, he was simply a beautiful madman who was incredibly difficult to deal with.

She only wanted to beat him because she had finally met her match.

Would she take Song Zhanyu by force?

What a joke. Not in a million years.

And yet...

Lu Taoyue: Give Song Zhanyu mouth-to-mouth, suck the poison from his blood, and save his life.

Song Zhanyu's perspective: Lu Taoyue takes advantage of him and knocks him down, then spends the night with him.

Lu Taoyue: When everyone suspects Song Zhanyu of murdering his fellow disciples, she hides him in a secret chamber to spare him punishment.

Song Zhanyu's perspective: Lu Taoyue imprisons him and keeps him there for night after night.

Lu Taoyue: Get rid of the "good people" with ulterior motives who are trying to take advantage of Song Zhanyu.

Song Zhanyu's perspective: Because of Lu Taoyue, he loses someone important and has no one left but her.

Lu Taoyue was sure she had no ulterior motives, but to everyone else, she had done everything a captor could possibly do.

Lu Taoyue, whom everyone called a demoness: "?"

Only after forcing Song Zhanyu to trust her and give himself to her did Lu Taoyue realize that the one she'd brought down from the altar wasn't some aloof beauty, but a genuine, world-destroying black lotus.

Later, she stopped Song Zhanyu's plan to destroy the world and sent him to his death.

After Song Zhanyu died, Lu Taoyue accidentally lit a kind of incense.

The Song Zhanyu who appeared before her was even more ruthless, sick, and deranged than before.

Lu Taoyue, splattered with blood: "..."

Well, would you look at that. Did she summon the wrong spirit?

This time, though, she has to save him.

Song Zhanyu believes he is an evil spirit summoned into the world by mistake. Others fear him and dare not approach.

Only Lu Taoyue meets him head-on and gets close to him.
