Once upon a time, there was a demon king named Ulysses.
He was so powerful that even the Creator God couldn't kill him.
The god was troubled, so the Book of Creation asked:
[Did you give him the traits a demon king should have?]
"Of course. He's rational, powerful, ruthless, unafraid of failure, and indestructible."
[Did you give him a tragic childhood?]
"Yes, a miserable one, enough to turn him into a demon king."
[Did you give him a lowly birth?]
"How could I forget? He hates the knights who represent the light more than anything."
[Then he is destined to be defeated by justice.]
"But he's just too powerful."
[Then create another version of him, so that... he can kill him.]
So, on an ordinary day, space and time suddenly twisted before Ulysses, and he came face-to-face with his own pitiful younger self.
Fei
No one knew that the demon king's full name was Fei Ulysses.
Even fewer knew that Fei's greatest wish was to become a knight who represented the light.
Fei's perspective:
It was an ordinary day. I was fighting with wild dogs over food when a person shrouded in darkness descended from the sky and picked me up. The dogs were afraid of him, but I liked him. There was a familiar warmth about him that I couldn't explain.
Ulysses's perspective:
After becoming the demon king, I waited every day for the king to choose the finest knight to defeat me. But they were all too weak. How could someone like that become the holy knight who defeated the demon king? So I decided to claim that honor for myself.
[I teach him, indulge him, protect him, and love him.]
[I will offer myself up to make him what he is meant to be.]
[You will become a holy knight revered by all, a champion of justice and light, and fulfill your childhood dream. You will wear golden armor and carry a long sword. Your statue will stand in the very center of the plaza in the great kingdom.]
[And you are me.]
Fei is the seme, Ulysses is the uke.
A demon king uke devoted to raising a child VS a stubborn, fiercely loyal knight seme
An unusual child-rearing story, a happy selfcest romance, and a sweet slice-of-life novel. The author guarantees it with their character.
Theme: Who wouldn't want to save the person they used to be?
