The Pixiu's Million-Dollar Bride

Blurb 1:

When the old phoenix underwent rebirth, a burst of flame burned down Pixiu's cave.

Pixiu managed to save only half the treasures he'd hoarded in his cave.

From then on, he set out to collect the debt.

Then one day, after avoiding him for a thousand years, the old phoenix came to him of his own accord. With great generosity, he tossed Pixiu a huge golden egg as payment, then took off like a shot.

Pixiu hugged the golden egg as he slept that night, thinking he'd lock it in a bank vault the next day.

But the next morning, the egg cracked.

A "bald chicken" crawled out and chirped happily at Pixiu: "Cheep, cheep, cheep."

Pixiu: ?

Blurb 2:

The first thing the little phoenix did after taking human form was chase Pixiu around, yelling, "Lay an egg! Lay an egg!"

Pixiu picked the little phoenix up and put on a fierce face. "Tell your dad to pay me back! And you, too. You've been eating my food for ages without paying!"

The little phoenix, who'd been perfectly lucid a moment ago, immediately went blank. "Cheep, cheep, cheep?"

Pixiu: "Lay an egg?"

The little phoenix: "Sure!"

Pixiu: "Don't pretend with me. You clearly understand everything!"

The little phoenix: "Cheep, cheep, cheep?"

Pixiu: ...

Blurb 3:

The day the little phoenix flew away, Pixiu felt lost for a long time.

In the middle of the night, drunk and hugging his quilt, he cried, "You silly bird, I raised you for nothing..."

The eggshell at his bedside lifted up. "Cheep, cheep, cheep."

A stingy Pixiu gong with a sharp tongue but a soft heart X a feigning-ignorance "green tea" phoenix shou

Reading Guide:

1. Readers who are extremely devoted to either the gong or shou, please stay away.

2. The phoenix will lay eggs later in the story.

3. Please don't read this from an omniscient point of view. Thank you.

4. Both are virgins.

5. This is a supernatural fantasy with no logic, no logic at all. Pixiu and a phoenix are dating, so what logic could there be?
