The good news was that, for some inexplicable reason, she became the sect's beloved Second Senior Sister. As the only alchemist in a school full of sword cultivators, she began a life of heavenly luxury, with food brought to her and clothes put on her back.

The bad news was that Eldest Senior Brother Mu Zhoushan had an immortal's looks and a venomous heart. He was polite to her on the surface, but had tried to kill her several times in private.

Chi Yu: "Old Tree, I want that guy as my henchman and bodyguard. I won't feel guilty about manipulating him."

It had gone to so much trouble to bring the two of them together in the human world for one lifetime. How had things ended up like this?

Chi Yu tried every possible way to win over her Eldest Senior Brother.

I don't want the chance to be reborn as a human, either.

It turned out that she had wandered in the underworld for three hundred years to fulfill her dream of walking this road by his side for one lifetime.

[Reading Guide]

1. One-on-one romance, both leads are each other's one and only. Tragic past life, happy ending in this life. My own take on immortal cultivation, with plenty of original worldbuilding.

2. The heroine's identity is revealed throughout. At first, she's an emotionless reincarnation machine. The romance develops slowly, with a large ensemble cast and no rivalry between women.

3. They are mutually in love. Their personalities differ considerably between their two lives, and the leads clearly distinguish between their past and present selves.

4. This is my first original work and has plenty of flaws, so I don't really recommend it. I'm working hard to improve. Thank you for your patience, and feedback is welcome! ^ ^

A shocking scandal rocked the Divine Realm.

But after the mermaid demon clan was annihilated, Li Yue's blue robes were stained red with blood. His spiritual power spent, he searched the battlefield from end to end, desperate to find Sui Sui, who had already drawn her last breath. He carefully carried her back to the divine palace.

Jiang Linhui shook his head in grief. "She's half mermaid demon, half human. She never had a reverse scale. It was all a lie to deceive you. Your Highness saved Sui Sui's life in the Sinful Sea. Now she has returned your divine bones and died for you. You are even... Li Yue, let her go."

"But I don't want us to be even." Li Yue turned his silver hair black and bent down to press a trembling kiss to Sui Sui's forehead. "Didn't you only like Heshan? If you wake up, I'll spend the rest of my life by your side looking just like him."
