A Good Medicine for the Eastern Palace

The Crown Prince has an eye ailment and is gravely poisoned, with little time left to live.

According to medical records, only a beautiful woman's blood can cure the Crown Prince's Gu poison. His fiancee finds a pretty maid who meets the requirements and has her bled to provide a steady supply for his treatment.

The maid was raised in the Marquis's household. Her skin is as smooth as jade and ice, and she is alluring and seductive. The Empress promises to grant her the position of Secondary Consort if the Crown Prince recovers.

Wan Li is ordered to serve the critically ill Crown Prince.

Knowing the Eastern Palace is where she has to stay for now, she can only serve the Crown Prince well if she wants to avoid returning to that awful Marquis's household.

Wan Li cautiously holds out her hand to the Crown Prince. "This servant offers Your Highness a bite."

The Crown Prince has been sick for many days, and his face is deathly pale. Thunder crashes in the night, and lightning flashes like a ghost.

Hearing that the maid is so frightened she can barely walk, he steps forward and grips her chin. "If you don't want to die, get out."

Wan Li steels herself and rushes forward, wrapping her arms around the Crown Prince's waist.

Xiao Zhiyun's face darkens.

The nerve, daring to take liberties with me! Even a mere maid is bullying me because I'm blind.

Luckily, Wan Li is obedient. Aside from occasionally taking liberties with the Crown Prince, she never neglects feeding him her blood for treatment. She doesn't even complain about what happened that wild night.

As time passes, he finds himself growing used to having Wan Li by his side.

After his eye ailment is cured, the Crown Prince doesn't even get to rest before he is ordered by imperial decree to leave the capital overnight.

But when he returns to the Eastern Palace after many days away, his obedient cure, Wan Li, has vanished without a trace.

Blood fills the Crown Prince's eyes, and his old illness immediately flares up again.

[Bonus scene]

The Crown Prince attends a banquet at a court official's home.

A soft, chubby little girl runs toward him angrily. "Big brother, someone took An'er's things!"

Seeing that the little girl's face is identical to the Crown Prince's, the officials around him are dumbfounded.

When did His Highness secretly have a child?

Xiao Zhiyun cracks his knuckles, as if he has begun to understand what happened.

The Chang Le Marquis's household has found their long-lost legitimate youngest daughter. When she returned home, she brought a three-year-old girl with her.

No matter what, she refuses to tell anyone who the child's father is.
