Breaking news! The top student in the grade has suffered a shocking academic collapse!

Fu Moyu feels helpless when he hears the news.

After all, he's not actually the top student. He just happens to have the exact same face as the grade's number-one student.

Luckily, his predicament doesn't last long. A transfer student joins the class.

Good news: The transfer student takes the top student's place.

Bad news 1: The transfer student knows him.

Bad news 2: The transfer student is very close to him.

Bad news 3: The transfer student seems to like him.

The worst news of all: Two years ago, the person whose identity he's using confessed to this transfer student.

When Wen Xuzhou left Huai City two years ago, he received a love letter signed by his childhood friend, Fu Moxuan.

When he returns to Huai City, a twist of fate makes him desk mates with that same childhood friend.

Good news: His childhood friend has forgotten about the letter.

Bad news: His childhood friend doesn't recognize him.

Hoping not to damage the relationship they once had, Wen Xuzhou starts treating him just as he used to.

But things have changed. He realizes his childhood friend avoids him like the plague.

Later, by a twist of fate, they get together.

But their happiness doesn't last. A utopian dream, countless nights of passionate entanglement, all vanish like a bubble when a mix-up over the love letter and the truth about each other's identities come to light.

Everyone calls Fu Moyu by a name containing the character Xuan, until one day, he hears someone call him by his real name.

"Fu Moyu, I've loved you from the very beginning."

[What is more regrettable: that everything was a misunderstanding, or that the words you wanted to say went unspoken while you loved someone without realizing it?]
