Synopsis

[A sharp-tongued, aloof and dignified Fate God who says one thing and does another x a poisonous-tongued, unhinged Underworld God who plays dumb]

When the Heavenly Realm predicts that the forces of nature will wane in the future, it opens a space-time portal and sends a god to investigate the cause.

The modern world is fascinating. Qi Song pairs chips and popcorn with cola and Sprite, shipping them as a couple; watches Fanta crash a wedding; gossips over milk tea's downfall; and listens to the shampoo and body wash couple chat about their daily lives...

And there's also a mysterious fairy who has repeatedly saved him.

Qi Song thanks him, but the other party doesn't seem to appreciate it, and keeps getting inexplicably angry with him. How strange. He's the first fairy in the Heavenly Realm to dare speak rudely to him.

Qi Song has a god in the Heavenly Realm he can't get along with at all: the Underworld God, Ming Ji.

As Qi Song's undisputed nemesis, Qi Song thinks Ming Ji will be the only obstacle to his investigation into the decline of natural energy in the modern world. But Ming Ji never appears, not once.

Maybe it's just his imagination, but that sharp-tongued, mysterious little fairy only ever gives him a tender, helpless look when he complains about the Underworld God.

During his investigation, Qi Song encounters his future self.

Wait, you're saying the nemesis I fought to a standstill in the great war of the previous century is in love with me?

But how could that be!

Later, the mysterious fairy's identity is revealed: it's none other than Qi Song's nemesis, the Underworld God!

Ming Ji presses him step by step. “A Song, where do you think you're running? Wouldn't it be better to stay by my side like a good boy? Why won't you listen?”

The old Qi Song: Is there anything scarier than marrying my nemesis?

The current Qi Song: Is there anything scarier than my nemesis being in love with me?

The future Qi Song: There is. Apparently, my future self actually gets together with my nemesis!
