After starting university, I traveled to Ningxia one summer, a place known as the "Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall." On the way, the vehicle I was riding in was attacked by hungry wolves. My three friends and I fled in panic, then ran into a sandstorm and somehow ended up in a strange town. There, the four of us encountered a series of people and events we had never heard of and could hardly imagine, as if we had entered a bizarre world. The very two historical records from my family that helped me escape that town and return to reality turned out to be the key. It seemed everything was the work of fate, all predestined. I often think back to that fantastical experience, and sometimes I can't even tell whether everything I went through was real or something I imagined...
