Plum Blossoms Veiled in Spring Clouds

A little slice-of-life story set in the Tang Dynasty.

Xu Qingmei wasn't originally called Qingmei. Her name was Liu Er Ya, until she made a well-educated friend who gave her the name she has now.

It was the winter solstice that year.

On her way home with a jar of wine, Xu Qingmei encountered a strange man sitting on a pile of bamboo at the mouth of a narrow alley, shouting that he wanted wine. An empty gourd lay on the bluestone paving in front of him.

He wore green robes, with something wrapped up on his back. His entire appearance was that of a wandering martial artist.

After thinking it over, she picked up the gourd and walked over. Then she thought of how a drink could warm you on a bitter winter's day. Seeing him there alone reminded her of when she had wandered all the way to Jiangnan. She poured half a gourd of her own wine for him and placed it in his hands. Once she was sure he had it, she hurried away.

She didn't know that this act of kindness would help her find someone worthy of entrusting her life to.

"She was the only one who helped me.", Li Yunsheng

Male lead: Li Yunsheng

He really is strange, with a mind that works differently from other people's. Once he sets his heart on someone, it's for life.

Heads-up:

1. No melodrama.

2. No grand identities. The female lead is an ordinary commoner.

3. The female lead isn't a self-sacrificing saint and knows her own limits.

4. Updates are slow. If you can wait, you're impressive.

5. Happy ending.
