The Cheerful Puppy Waltz

*A childhood-friends bickering story | Mutual secret crushes

*Being there is the longest-lasting confession of love | Rabbits eat the grass by their own burrows

-

When they were little,

Chi Wei and Xu Jingning could argue endlessly over whether the other was a "child bride" or a "live-in son-in-law," even fighting three hundred rounds over it. Neither would give in, each determined to come out on top.

After they started school,

Chi Wei competed with Xu Jingning at every turn, but he always beat her, leaving her to stew in frustration with no way to vent.

But the people around them would say sourly, "One's willing to hit, the other's willing to take it!" or "We're the only ones who are truly doomed to be alone!"

Blurb to be polished and filled in later. I'll put it up when it's ready. It will include:

* Two little kids bickering, trading barbs and cracking jokes, both masters of verbal sparring

* They constantly complain about each other, yet defend and stick up for each other in every way

* The childhood friend "kills" the newcomer. You can practically smell the jealousy through the screen

* The best of youth, and a love that lasts from beginning to end

Theme: Study hard and always come out on top
