Sola is an alien who landed in North America. She looks just like an ordinary human, but instead of eating steak and bread, she feeds on human emotions, especially "pain."
But human emotions are fickle. She can't always get the food she likes, and sometimes she suddenly gets a mouthful of "happiness." It's very upsetting for an alien.
Soon, though, she came up with a great idea:
Cook for herself.
She didn't have to wait for humans to offer her their "scraps." She could get involved herself and create her own delicacies!
After studying the local social climate of "freedom and democracy," she decided she had figured out exactly how to handle humans, and confidently began her plan.
First, she would set up a factory.
She would capture those "free" humans and enslave them, letting them sleep only in dormitories and forbidding them from sleeping on the streets. They would have to work in the factory for 40 hours a week, for a pitiful salary of just 3,000 dollars, far below the national average.
Next, she would deny them the "democratic" right to make their own choices. From what to eat each day to what color clothes to wear, the factory would decide everything. This would keep them alive while producing a steady supply of "pain" for her.
Finally, she would force them to do something that betrayed their ancestors: memorize and recite Capital!
Ah, what a vicious alien.
But when Sola was ready to inspect the results and harvest the "pain," the people nominated her as their new presidential candidate:
