The Mermaid Slave (Women Reign Supreme)

Xue Ning, the Marquis of Champions, had earned great military honors by the age of twenty-four. A mighty general who struck fear into the barbarians across the land, she was also the object of countless men's romantic dreams in the capital, Yanjing.

During a northern campaign, Xue Ning was struck by a stray arrow, fell from her horse, and was trampled beneath its hooves, leaving both her legs crippled. The empress made an exception and granted her a princely title. But after becoming disabled, Xue Ning's temperament changed completely. She became a capricious, cruel demon, and the noblemen who had once adored her now avoided her at all costs.

At a palace banquet, Emperor Jing wanted to show how much he valued Xue Ning, so he ordered that the “grand gift” he had just received be given to her.

Bi Lin was the beloved youngest son of the merman king. Driven by curiosity, he swam into shallow waters, where a fisherwoman caught him. After changing hands several times, he was presented to Emperor Jing as a rare treasure.

Looking at the beautiful merman tail shimmering with starlight in the crystal pool, Xue Ning curled her lips into a cruel smile and murmured, “So it's a mermaid. I wonder how it would taste in soup.”

Everyone present was horrified, thinking: The Prince of Yong really has gone mad.

Watching Xue Ning push her wheelchair toward the pool, Bi Lin gathered his strength and whipped his tail, sending up a huge splash that drenched Xue Ning from head to toe.

“Ha ha ha ha! I love the gift His Majesty sent me.”

Xue Ning took the little mermaid home, but instead of making fish soup, she provided him with food and clothing, taught him poetry and books, and married him so they could spend every day and night together.

Premise: A fake demon king and a willful little merman slave
