My Hotel Took Off After Earth Fell

Twisted tentacles in the sewers, blurry chunks of bloody flesh, gigantic, brightly colored moths, and a one-meter-long footprint in wet cement... "Welcome to the polluted apocalypse." That was the first thing Wen Bei heard after inheriting this gloomy apartment building. "There is no home beyond the safety zone." No one could stop the pollution. A soldier always saved the last bullet in his gun for himself. Until one day, a ramshackle apartment building unlike any other appeared... Rumor had it that sleeping there for one night could lower your contamination level! The powerful and influential, tormented by their contamination levels, flocked to stay. Rooms were impossible to come by. Big Shot No. 1: I used to be a brilliant mercenary, but my contamination level tormented me so much that I was about to blow myself up. Luckily, I met the boss and became the apartment building's security guard. Big Shot No. 2: I once saved a safety zone with tens of thousands of people, but my contamination level got too high, and I had to leave. The boss took me in and gave me a job scrubbing toilets every day. Big Shot No. 3: I almost fused with an S-class contaminated entity and destroyed the world. I'm grateful the boss recognized my talents and made me the building manager here. Some Lunatic: I like the boss. I hope the boss takes me in as his boyfriend. Wen Bei, dismissively: "...A night's stay costs ten thousand crystals. Don't bother asking if you have less." Some Lunatic, silently pulling out his money: "Then I'll buy you for a hundred years." Wen Bei's cat eyes widened: "I meant the hotel fee! Mmph...!" "After Becoming a Supernatural Entity, I Was Raised by Humans" [Don't look in the mirror at midnight.] [Hanako-san is in the last bathroom stall.] [The missing thirteenth step.] [If you see a red-eyed man, do not make eye contact with him!] More and more urban legends were turning into real supernatural incidents. The human world was edging toward an apocalypse, and people lived in constant fear and unrest. Gradually, some neglected urban legends gained consciousness and began roaming human society. An Nuo was urban legend No. 018-B. According to the legend, anyone who ate the eighteenth cherry on a cake would see a dark shadow crouching at the head of their bed that night... Finally, one day, 018-B gained consciousness too. A kind senior supernatural entity told him: The three golden rules for supernatural entities who gain consciousness: 1. Never reveal yourself! 2. Do not kill humans indiscriminately!! 3. Stay away from that human named He Changshu!!! The last rule was highlighted in bold, blood red. An Nuo trembled in fright, biting down on the edge of his blanket. "B-but... the man who took me in is named He Changshu QAQ" One day, a very long time in the future, 018-B ran away from home. He Changshu expressionlessly went to his favorite little cake shop on the corner, bought a cake, and ate all eighteen cherries on it, one by one. That night, he happily caught his runaway boyfriend at the head of the bed. An Nuo, eyes brimming with tears: "You're not supposed to play supernatural incidents like this..."
