The Brush-wielding Official

The Scribe: one brush in hand, writing every tale under heaven.

The Scribe was once an official position in the highest heavens, long since left vacant.

Ji Yi had spent five hundred years as an insignificant little immortal in that dispensable role.

According to the rules of heaven, after five hundred years, one must undergo a tribulation. It was just like Sun Wukong, who had been trapped beneath the Five Elements Mountain for five hundred years before escaping, as the storybooks tell it.

But that was the day she made a mistake.

The Heavenly Emperor stripped Ji Yi of her immortal bones, cast her down into mortal life, and ordered her to rewrite all the histories she had destroyed.

Her journey to atone proved far more complicated than she had imagined. It seemed some conspiracy was stirring in the shadows.

She was a pawn, at everyone's beck and call, yet she didn't even understand her own purpose...

Zhong Lixi: You don't have to recognize me, and you can forget who I am. But you mustn't forget the vow you made back then, and you must never... break it.

Su Mo: You've spent all this time watching other people's stories. Don't you want to know your own?

Theme: Never give up on love and hope, no matter what.
