He Xiaoxiao spent his whole life as the Du family's live-in son-in-law, because he had been bought by Madam Du to be Du Yunjun's child husband.
Fortunately, he would never have to live the life of a peasant, bent over the fields. Unfortunately, Madam Du died too soon, and Concubine Xie took charge of the Du household and gave birth to a son.
The vast Du household was no longer Du Yunjun's domain.
Whenever his Jun-ge wanted bird's nest and snow frog, he was scolded for being greedy. If he slept in a little, he was called lazy by nature.
He was indignant, but in the end he was only a live-in son-in-law. Even his words carried less weight than Jun-ge's.
It was all right. He was grown now and could earn money to support the family, so Jun-ge wouldn't have to put up with this anymore.
So he carefully prepared his business and opened up shop. Business boomed, and from then on Jun-ge would have all the bird's nest and snow frog he could eat.
Sadly, Heaven was blind. Jun-ge had only just turned twenty when he suddenly fell gravely ill. No medicine could help, and he was gone in a hurry.
After that, He Xiaoxiao drifted through life in a daze. The Du family drove him out, and he became a vagrant.
His mother heard the news and hurried in from the countryside, bringing him home in tears.
As the name suggests, Anxin Village was beautiful and peaceful, with a comfortable way of life.
But Du Yunjun wasn't there.
On the anniversary of Du Yunjun's death, He Xiaoxiao fell into the water. When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to the moment when Concubine Xie had just given birth to a son. Jun-ge was pouting and complaining that his father was biased.
He smiled and said, “How about I take you back to the countryside to farm?”
The two husbands packed their things and left as soon as they were ready.
As the name suggests, Anxin Village was just as Jun-ge liked it. He ate and drank every day and even grew much plumper.
All he had to do was be reborn with a farmer System bound to him. Growing fruit and vegetables would keep him safe for the rest of his life. How could he pass up such a good deal?
