Sunny on June 10

“It’s raining heavily today,” the voice on the phone said.

I turned my diary to a blank page and picked up my pen, listening to the voice on the other end, unsure what to say.

I glanced sideways. Outside, the trees were lush and green, and cicadas sang one after another.

It was still a bright, sunny day here. A beautiful sunny day.
