The Systems launch a grand pit-filling project: authors who leave their stories unfinished are sent into the worlds they've written to give their characters an ending.
As a butterfly watching from the sidelines, an author can stir countless unknown possibilities with the flutter of tiny wings.
But after filling in the pits in nine worlds in a row, Chu Quwei arrives in a world that already has an ending. This time, the mission is to rewrite a bad ending into a happy one.
Yet with the number of missing people steadily rising and a residence hiding a huge secret, Chu Quwei can't help falling into deep thought.
This world has gone so off the rails that even its own creator wouldn't recognize it.
